What Are Metric Socket Flanged Button Screws ISO 7380-2
Hex socket flange button head screws are a type of socket screw, similar to a socket button head but with an added flange. This flange increases the diameter of the head of the screw, opening up their usage to applications where a smaller head is not suitable.
Socket flanged button heads are perfect for use where there is a need to protect softer materials or to avoid warping. The increased diameter of the flange helps to distribute the load when tightening the screw evenly.
Although most people do not use washers with them, if need be, you can use a shake proof washer if there is a risk of them vibrating loose. A penny washer can also be used to extend the head diameter further on very soft or thin materials.
Flanged buttons are tightened by inserting an Allen key into the hex socket in the centre of the head. Like all other socket screws, this makes them ideal for where space may be limited above the head.
People often use hex socket flange buttons where a tidy, low-profile head is needed. This can be for aesthetic reasons or there may be a need for a smooth tidy snag-free finish.
They are manufactured to the precise standards of ISO 7380-2 which defines all the applicable dimensions for all sizes. In addition, the metric threads are produced to the strict tolerances of the ISO 965-1 spec.

Difference Between Socket Flanged Button Screws and Socket Dome Flange Head Screws
Socket dome flange head screws are often also called socket dome flange screws. These are just the same thing as a flanged socket button head. There can be many different variations in the names that people give these screws, another couple that people often use are flanged dome heads and socket flange dome screws.
The reasons why some people refer to these as socket dome flange screws are fairly obvious. If you were to look at the screws, the first things that come to mind are the wide diameter of the head with a raised dome in the middle.
As long as you see any of these names accompanied by ISO 7380-2, you will know that they are the same screws.
