What are Metric Hex Socket Screws?
Hex socket screws are a type of screw that has an internal hex socket or a hex recess that is used for tightening with an Allen key or a hex key, sometimes also referred to as a hex wrench.
Depending on the type and size of socket screw, they can be either fully threaded or partially threaded. A socket screw that is partially threaded is also often referred to as a hex socket bolt or an Allen bolt.

How To Use A Screw With Socket
To use a screw with a socket, you would first need to make sure that you have an appropriate-sized hole to insert your socket screw into. Usually, the hole will be threaded to screw them into but they can also be inserted into an unthreaded hole and fastened with nuts and washers.
A screw with socket is ideal where space is tight as they can be tightened with an offset ball end hex key or simply with the short end of the Allen key.
